Meet the Founder — Where Engineering Discipline Meets Electrical Craftsmanship

Point A Electric is led by Jonathan Zeis, a servant-minded leader, engineer, and family man. Jonathan is happily married, the proud father of two daughters, and a longtime Ballantyne resident who believes strongly in giving back to the community he calls hope.

Jonathan brings a rare blend of technical expertise, leadership, and integrity to the electrical industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, attended Virginia Tech, and is a certified and licensed electrician.

Prior to Point A Electric, Jonathan served as a Lead Project Engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense and is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
This background allows him to bring a disciplined, safety-driven, and detail-oriented approach to every project-large or small.

Charlotte's trusted electrical team since 2022

Every company starts somewhere. Ours started in 2022, right here in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC, with one goal: earn the trust of every single customer, one job at a time. Not by being the biggest name in the industry, but by being the one homeowners and business owners genuinely feel good calling back.

Since then, we’ve grown to serve communities across North and South Carolina, handling everything from residential rewiring and panel upgrades to light-commercial troubleshooting and new installations. Behind every job is a team of certified, licensed electricians who bring over 60 years of combined hands-on experience to your property — no guesswork, no shortcuts.

That focus on doing things right has translated into something we’re genuinely proud of: a 5.0 rating on Google, built one honest job at a time, from a community that’s come to trust us with their homes and businesses.

Whether it’s a small fix or a full installation, we show up with the same mindset every time — precise work, respect for your property, and solutions that actually solve the problem.

Our Core Values

Every technician on our team follows four principles on every single job:

  • Safety First, Always — We follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building codes on every job, without exception. No shortcuts that put your family or property at risk.
  • Upfront, Written Pricing — You’ll see a fixed, itemized estimate before we touch a single wire. No surprise charges, no scope creep.
  • Diagnose Before We Recommend — We use proper diagnostic tools to find the actual root cause of an electrical issue, not just patch the symptom.
  • Respect for Your Home — On time, clean job sites, clear communication from the first call to the final walkthrough.
